Let’s Get to the Root of PPC.
Much like growing crops, the approach to PPC is parallel.
Let’s look at just one aspect of successful growing. Water.
Too little water to the root system and the plants will be thin, absent of foliage, often unrecognizable and eventually withering away. Too much water to the root system and the roots will rot away and drown. You may be thinking to yourself right now, what the heck does this withering away and drowning of a crop have to do with my Search Engine Marketing campaign? Our broad subject is growing crops. The category we are looking at here is water. The proper application of water to the crop will allow it to grow into a prosperous harvest. Considerations will be the amount of water (not too much and not too little), the timing of watering (watering in the early morning vs. heat of the day) and where the water is being delivered. We can’t just mist the leaves and expect the plant to grow. We need to deliver the water to the root of the plant.
So, here is the parallel. A PPC campaign must focus on the right categories. Too little information (relevant categories and keywords) and your prospect will not be presented with enough info (water) to maintain interest and make a buying decision. Eventually, withering away. Too much info (water) your prospect will be saturated and overwhelmed with information, in essence, drowning. Again, not keeping interest and making a buying decision. So what do you do?
An expert marketing team (insert g2 media pros here) can put together a delicate balance of relevant information executed to the right prospect, with the right information at the right time and ensure your campaign and business will flourish!
